"If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it" (John 14:14). These words of Christ Jesus to his followers contain a key to the successful application of prayer to heal and bless. The teaching of Christian Science is expressed in Hymn No. 149 of the Christian Science Hymnal,

And understanding prayer is fully answered,
When trustingly we turn to God
aright.
