The Science of Prayer

Christian Science is the Science of prayer, the prayer that heals the sick, regenerates the sinning, and reveals the kingdom of heaven in man. This new understanding of prayer through which one can realize God as the absolute center and circumference of all true being differs from the ordinary sense of praying to a far-off God.

Christ Jesus was always conscious of the nearness and ever-presence of the heavenly Father watching over all His children. He understood that in the divine presence, no form of evil, however tragic and real it seemed to be, could ever touch the man whom God created in His image and likeness.

This spiritual understanding of God's presence, power, and love endued Jesus' prayers with the potency that enabled him to perform all his mighty works, even to raising the dead. He said this work was possible to anyone who understood his teaching.
