Good Friends Again

[Of special interest to children]

One morning Marla received a telephone call from Rachel, one of her friends at school. On hanging up the receiver, Marla burst into tears and said to her mother: "Yesterday while Jean and I were playing on our swings, I told her I heard Rachel's mother say that she was a dull child and that Rachel wasn't to play with her. Now neither one of them likes me, and Rachel just called to say I wasn't welcome in her home ever again."

Marla, still crying, went on to say, "I'm so sorry I carried the tale, though I really did hear it."

Her mother reminded her of what she had learned in Christian Science: that each child of God expresses Him in an individual way; each one is different from the other.
