Creation or Illusion?

Christian Science insists there is no foundation for the assumption that reality consists of that which can be observed by the physical senses. It acknowledges Spirit, the one God, as All, and it declares that all creation is therefore spiritual.

Material belief is finite. But the creation of immortal Mind is infinite. Christ Jesus pointed to the difference between his limitless, spiritual understanding and the limited beliefs of materialists when he said to his opponents, "Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world." John 8:23;

The world today is going through a great reexamination of thought. Old values are being questioned, and new values are changing the patterns of human behavior. The basic question is, What is reality? If one says to himself, "I am a material being: What I am today comes from what happened to matter yesterday," he determines his behavior on the basis of the practical way to live among other material beings. But if one says to himself, "I am a spiritual being, an emanation or creation of divine Mind: What I am today comes from what Mind is and what Mind knows eternally," he determines his practical behavior on the basis of the nature of Mind, God.
