Choosing a Career

[Of special interest to young men and women]

The young person contemplating his career or lifework today is faced with a great challenge. New technology has created an unprecedented number of new occupations and professions. How shall he choose that for which he is best fitted? What are his qualifications? How can he be sure he will not make a mistake either in his choice or his training?

The most successful person the world has ever known, Christ Jesus, has given us this sound advice: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matt. 6:33; In answering the question as to when this kingdom was to come, he said, "The kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:21; What a reassuring thought! All that one needs is within his own consciousness, within his own ability to express it!

Referring to this kingdom of God "within you," Mrs. Eddy states, "In divine Science, man possesses this recognition of harmony consciously in proportion to his understanding of God." Science and Health, p. 576; She also tells us, "The starting-point of divine Science is that God, Spirit, is All-in-all, and that there is no other might nor Mind,—that God is Love, and therefore He is divine Principle." p. 275 :
