Christian Science has become the way of Life for me and my family. As a child I had been reared in a Protestant faith. My parents, though loving and kind, relied wholeheartedly on medicine. I was subject to colds, which resulted in abscessed ears. This went on throughout my childhood and into young womanhood.

I met and married a young Christian Scientist and became fascinated with the sincerity of his study, and with his books, the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. After he had left for work in the morning, I would open these books and read and ponder.

My study soon helped me in many ways: the nothingness of some unkind words spoken by a loved one became apparent; a deeper love and understanding were evident in our home; my hand was completely unharmed after having gone forward and backward in a washing machine wringer. I was so very grateful!
