Sometime ago I was plagued with a condition which four doctors, who treated me with various medicines, could not diagnose. It seemed to be a stomach ailment, and I became fearful of eating, thus losing a lot of weight. Nothing seemed to do any good, and I was miserable.
My father has a sister in the Middle West who is a Christian Scientist and who was at that time a Reader in the Church of Christ, Scientist, in the small town in which she and her husband then lived. My father said he was sending me out to them, and my aunt would fix me up. I didn't know anything about Christian Science and didn't know what she was going to do, but I went by myself to Nebraska from New York.
When I arrived in their beautiful home, filled with peace, harmony, and love, the atmosphere was a revelation to me because my mother, although a good Christian, was a worrier, and there was always a lot of confusion in the family.
