RADIO PROGRAM No. 165 - How to Get Along with Others

QUESTIONER: In your study of the Bible have you found some basis for getting along with others, especially in business? Does the Bible actually have something to say about this?

SPEAKER: It does in this way: Bible teachings show that if our thinking is right, what others think or do or say actually can't interfere with our progress or deprive us of our rightful place or opportunity. The Apostle Peter implied this when he questioned (I Pet. 3:13), "Who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?" And Christ Jesus declared (Matt. 7:5), "First cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly lo cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." This shows the emphasis Christ Jesus placed on beginning with ourselves to better relations with our fellowmen.

QUESTIONER: You mean that if we think that others are at fault, maybe we're the ones that need to change?
