In my teens a friend took me...
In my teens a friend took me along with her to a Christian Science Sunday School, which I then attended for four years. For this great blessing, I shall always be deeply grateful. The truths I learned there have helped and comforted me through many years, especially after my marriage and in the reading of three children.
The healings which we have experienced, including those of so-called children's diseases, are too many to tell here; but one which took place about two and a half years ago I should like to relate first.
I was helping my husband erect a garden shed; and we had just placed a large, thick piece of glass in position for a window when it crashed down on top of my husband's head and shattered to pieces. He had a deep gash on his forehead from which blood was pouring fast. I helped him into the kitchen and started to wash the blood away, lifting my thought in prayer to God, whom we knew was "a very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1).
