I remember often listening when...
I remember often listening when I was a young girl while Mother read the Bible. I remember that the tears used to come because we did not understand. Yet we knew there was a deeper meaning than the words appeared to say.
As I look back upon my early experience of seeking for the meaning, it is now very clear to me why an earnest Christian Scientist, who later became my husband, was led to me and introduced me, and subsequently my family through me, to Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy's great discovery.
We witnessed our son's recovery from paralysis caused by a car passing over his abdomen. (The law of our state required an examination by a physician. After examining our son, the physician declared that there was nothing that he could do.) A Christian Science practitioner was called immediately after the accident and began to give the boy treatment.
