[The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly designated to be read in Christian Science churches on May 16, 1965.]

In the order of his course (Luke 1:8)

The course (or shift) referred to would be ''the course of Abia," mentioned in verse 5. From the days of King David, the priests had been divided into twenty-four such courses, or shifts. The eighth of these shifts, to which Zacharias later belonged, was named for Abijah (Greek: Abia). (See I Chron. 24:10.)
