Preparing for and Passing Examinations

[Of Special Interest to Young Men and Women]

Examinations are among the many challenges presented to young men and women in the course of academic work. Nor are examinations ruled out of their experience when their formal education ceases. Our modern world is filled with examinations. Many businesses require them, and magazines today frequently carry features with titles such as "Test Yourself" and "Measure Your Own Abilities."

One great hindrance to proper preparation for an examination is the unquestioning acceptance of human theories concerning intelligence. From these we must turn away if correct preparation is to be made. Seen in the light of Christian Science, the acquiring of understanding should be an effortless and joy-filled activity, aglow with the glory of Love, embodying the divine adventure which leads one forever into the new and unfamiliar.

Mind is the source of every true thought. Spiritual ideas are ever available to man. An understanding of these ideas, or spiritual truths, brings freedom to human consciousness and opens the door to a demonstration of the ever-availability of every needful human thought or thing. Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 307): "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies. Never ask for tomorrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment."
