The first healing I received took place while I was a pupil in a Christian Science Sunday School. My body became covered from head to foot with a skin infection. My parents, who were not Christian Scientists, called a doctor. A medical nurse was also called when I was confined to bed. Both doctor and nurse were kind and tried to help, but the condition continued to become worse.

My parents then asked if I would like to return to Science. I said I would; the doctor and nurse were dismissed, and no medication was used from that time on. A Christian Science practitioner and nurse were called, and I shall never forget the kindness which they expressed. Within a short time there was much improvement.

When the practitioner was called to help me, she asked that I come to her home. As I had been in bed for some time I thought I was much too weak, but wanting this healing very much I decided to go and found strength to do so. She encouraged me to go to Sunday School the next Sunday. Although there was still much evidence of the disease, I felt the support of Truth and went to Sunday School.
