I am eager to acknowledge, with deep gratitude, the saving, healing power of the Christ in my own experience and in that of our family, It was in 1904 that Christian Science came to me as the direct answer to my prayer for Truth. At that time I was suffering from a nervous breakdown.

Previous to this I had had wonderful evidence of the healing of a moral-mental condition through prayer, so I was receptive to the truths of Science. The way was not easy; but by faithful, persistent prayerful work with a practitioner, I was healed and was able to take a business course and serve in the business world, living a normal life.

In our family I have seen healed through Science what a doctor had diagnosed as consumption. And my mother was healed of a severe and painful stomach trouble.
