Although for a number of...
Although for a number of years I have experienced many blessings in Christian Science and have spoken about them at the Wednesday evening testimony meetings of a branch church, I have neglected to express my gratitude in our periodicals until now.
I was brought up in a loving home atmosphere. My father was a minister, as many of his family had been before him. In Psalms we read (89:1), "With my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations." This was the experience of my youth. My parents did not talk about sin, sickness, or death, or about any kind of dogma.
In later years my desire was for a creed that could be demonstrated and for a better understanding of God. I admired Jesus' example; but it seemed impossible for me to follow it, and I did not understand anything of the misery which I often saw around me.
