Of Good Report
In Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mrs. Eddy writes, "Spirit, God, gathers unformed thoughts into their proper channels, and unfolds these thoughts, even as He opens the petals of a holy purpose in order that the purpose may appear" (p. 506). In their prayerful endeavor to broaden their services to the community, many branches of The Mother Church find new ideas unfolding to them in ever-growing measure. These new ideas are proving fruitful, as the following accounts show.
A church in Detroit shares these unfoldments:
"Starting with our election of Readers and our annual meeting last spring, the membership committee, supplemented by other church members, telephoned all other members prior to each of our business meetings. The results were inspiring. Our percentage of attendance was raised substantially, and many members were brought into closer contact with church activities.
