TRANSFORMATION

With confident, determined tread,
Saul traveled the Damascus road,
Sure of his rightness, proud to be
A bearer of authority.

Yet, in the twinkling of an eye,
His course was changed when suddenly
The Christ revealed to him in light
The wrongness of his sense of right.

Be ours slow dawn or sudden day,
The same light shines upon our way.
We ask, "What will you have me do?"
And waken to a life made new.
