Sometime ago my arm and leg on one side of my body were suddenly paralyzed. There was considerable pain, and moving was very difficult. With the help of a Christian Science practitioner the condition was healed, and I lost only one day of work. I am very grateful for the healing of physical pain and inactivity, but I am even more grateful for a clearer understanding of the words of the Master, Christ Jesus (Luke 10: 20), "Notwithstanding in this rejoice not that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven."

For years before learning of this great truth, Christian Science. I had been haunted by a great sense of fear—of people, of circumstances, of events. Today the knowledge that God is my Life, the source of my strength, health, supply, and understanding, is a constant source of comfort during my daily activities.
