Quod Erat Demonstrandum
"Day by day we bring about demonstrations of Science— some small, some threat, but none insignificant"
Most of us during our school days studied geometry. For most of us this subject was our first introduction to pure logic, and we found that if we diligently studied the theorems of Euclid, we were able to prove quite conclusively, for instance, that the square on the hypotenuse of a right-angled triangle is equal to the sum of the squares on the other two sides. We learned also that any deviation from the correct method of proving these propositions would result either in an incorrect solution or in a situation for which no apparent solution was possible.
