I began studying our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy during my stay in a health resort, where I had gone to take a mud-bath cure. I decided not to subject myself any longer to matter and to its false laws.

I discontinued the cure and read and reread Science and Health with calm, joy, and gratitude. I understood very little in the beginning, but I persisted and realized little by little that the good seed was bearing fruit. Pains in the joints disappeared, and later on a thyroid condition that had enslaved me for many years yielded, and I was free.

Through the continued study of our textbook, I have gradually learned to recognize myself and my neighbor as actually spiritual children of the one God, the infinite Mind, who fills all space.
