Church Dedications

Los Angeles, California (Forty-second Church).

The dedication services of Forty-second Church of Christ, Scientist, will be held on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., at 7763 Bellaire Avenue, North Hollywood.

The services will celebrate completion of payment for purchase of the grounds and building.

The congregation was formed in August, 1951, to hold informal services for Christian Scientists in the northern North Hollywood area. Services were held in a number of temporary locations until the present two acres of land were purchased in 1954.

In February, 1953, the group received recognition by The Mother Church as Christian Science Society, North Hollywood, and in March, 1955, it officially became Forty-second Church of Christ, Scientist, Los Angeles.

The building on the property was remodeled for use as a church, and plans have been completed for construction of a new edifice.— Valley News and Valley Green Sheet (November 1,1963).
