Supply Wells Up Within Thought

At no time does one need to watch his understanding of supply more thoughtfully than when he is experiencing abundance. This is the time when the carnal mind would tempt one to be satisfied with matter or to trust it as if it were real and dependable substance. Whereas, according to Christian Science, Spirit is the only true substance and supply, and we can trust spiritual activity to care unfailingly for our present and eternal needs. This kind of supply never lessens and never gives out, but increases with use and understanding.

We are spiritually active when we joyfully receive and intelligently apply in our affairs such true ideas as God's infinitude, man's sinlessness, harmonious relations, the perpetual flow of good from the Father to His sons, and all that these great facts imply.

To demonstrate spiritual activity successfully, we must deny material concepts that would hide God's ideas or contradict them. We must realize that matter is a finite, cramped mode of thinking and that it is within consciousness that finiteness must be made to disappear.
