Changing the Evidence

"The evidences of material sense are . . . illusions rather than ... actualities "

There are times when the great healing spiritual facts of being as taught in Christian Science appear remote from one's personal experience, especially when one is striving to solve some human problem. But this is only seeming. Material sense would hide the spiritual facts. The remedy is for one to rise in thought to see that the spiritual alone is the actual and is present. The teachings of Christian Science expose the spurious nature of the material senses, including the conditions to which they testify. At the same time these teachings reveal the reality of Spirit, God, and the consequent actuality of the spiritual.
