SO THAT THY YOUTH IS RENEWED LIKE THE EAGLE'S (Ps. 103:5)

Commenting on this verse, Briggs observes that "it is doubtful whether there is an allusion to the fable of the eagle's renewing its youth in old age; but at all events it is the fulness of life and vigour of the eagle that is thought of."
