"The kingdom of God is not in...

The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power" (I Cor. 4: 20). It is from a heart overflowing with joy and gratitude that I acknowledge the power and efficacy of the laws of God, as applied in Christian Science.

In Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy writes on page 276: "If God is admitted to be the only Mind and Life, there ceases to be any opportunity for sin and death. When we learn in Science how to be perfect even as our Father in heaven is perfect, thought is turned into new and healthy channels, —towards the contemplation of things immortal and away from materiality to the Principle of the universe, including harmonious man."

When Christian Science came to me I was in a deplorable state, bound by nervous tension, intense headaches, indigestion, and severe constipation. A clear friend persuaded me to see a practitioner, and I shall never forget the comfort and peace her loving thought brought to me. I went to her heavy laden, and I came away light of heart and body. I felt as if I could skip and run and shout for joy. I knew I had found the wellspring of Life.
