RADIO PROGRAM No. 104 - The Daily Promise of Easter

INTERVIEWER: An editorial in an Australian paper, The Age, caught my attention the other day. The writer said: "The Easter faith declares that human life does have meaning and purpose. It is the faith that what God has made, He cares for; the conviction that what He cares for will not be destroyed." Now many people wonder whether or not the Easter promise has much meaning in our kind of world. How do you feel about this?

SPEAKER: I think it has as much meaning today as it had on that glorious morning when Mary Magdalene found that Jesus had risen from the tomb. You see, to the Christian Scientist the promise of Easter is not just related to salvation after death; it means much more to us than that. To us it holds the promise of triumph and salvation in our present experience.

INTERVIEWER: Don't you feel that the age in which we live puts all this to a very still test?
