Some years ago my husband and I started to look into Christian Science. In order to study it, we decided to go to Boston, Massachusetts, so we could learn it, showing thereby that we indeed knew nothing about Science, for one can learn it anywhere and everywhere by first studying the textbook by Mrs. Eddy. However, this visit to Boston was the turning point in my life.

Early in my study I had a wonderful healing. I had been feeling ill with a pain in my right side. I would go to bed, then get up when I felt better, and so on. One Sunday evening I had struggled up and was reading an article in The Christian Science Journal in which the author likened the journey of the children of Israel out of Egypt to the Promised Land to the experience of a person coming out of materiality and taking up Christian Science.

I was absorbed in my reading, when suddenly I felt changes taking place in my abdomen. While this was going on, these words came to me: "This is divine Love moving on the waters of mortal mind and forming the perfect concept."
