"AND GRACE FOR GRACE"

John 1:16

How shines the grace
Of him who knows
That God alone
All power bestows!
How light the step,
How clear the eye
Of him who trusts
Implicitly!

He does no evil.
Only good
He sees and shares;
In brotherhood
Holds out his hand,
Opens his heart.
In healing works,
Christ's counterpart.

And all the while
Spiritual grace
Outlines his being,
Frames his face.
And strength renewed
From hour to hour
Proves infinite
His growing power.

But well he knows
All power lies with
The God who gives
Him life and breath.
His not to question
But raise high
God's likeness, Him
To glorify.
