It is with a heart full of gratitude...
It is with a heart full of gratitude to God that I offer this testimony.
Two winters ago I turned the wrong way on my foot and a bone snapped out of place. I immediately denied the reality of the pain with Mrs. Eddy's statement in Science and Health (p. 113), "There is no pain in Truth, and no truth in pain." I affirmed the harmony of God's creation in which all things are harmonious and properly adjusted. However, even though prayerful work was continually done to eradicate the false concept of misplacement, I was very uncomfortable when I walked.
About a week later I went to visit a dear friend who is a Christian Scientist. She remarked to me: "I see you are limping. What is the trouble?" I told her that something seemed to be out of place in my foot. After a moment she said, "The word 'conformity' comes to my thought."
