In 1950, when I first became interested...
In 1950, when I first became interested in Christian Science, my husband and I were in unhappy circumstances. First of all, for two years we had been involved in a lawsuit with respect to the place in which we lived, and we had lost the suit. Financially, we were in a bad way. Our expenses were greater than our income, and we had been obliged to borrow. On top of all this, my relationship with my husband was not harmonious, and this disturbed me greatly.
Thanks to God's goodness and the splendid work of a practitioner, and also to my complete trust in Christian Science, at the end of three weeks the home which we now have was offered to us by the landlord himself, as was my work and in part that of my husband. All the inharmony between my husband and me also disappeared, thanks to our work, together with the help of the practitioner.
I have also had some physical healings. The first was that of a form of phlebitis, affecting the loins and right leg, which had caused me a good deal of suffering for a long time. With the help of the same practitioner I was able to demonstrate most remarkably the victory of Truth over error. At the end of two months' prayerful work the condition had completely disappeared, and my loins and leg have been in perfect condition for eleven years now.
