With deep gratitude I should like to testify to a healing I experienced about thirteen years ago. I was suffering great discomfort during the so-called change of life. Because I had had no personal experience of Christian Science healing at that time, I went to see a doctor. He recommended an immediate operation, wrote out a form admitting me to a hospital, and said he thought I ought to stay there. I said, "No, I cannot stay there." So I was dismissed with the remark that it was my own responsibility.
It was Wednesday. I went to the evening testimony meeting at a branch church. There before the meeting began I found a practitioner and told her everything.
She said: "Well, now, you have admitted into your consciousness the thought of suffering. That is the result of believing that one lives in the body instead of in Spirit, in Mind."
