In 1886 when I was three years old my mother was instantly healed of consumption by a student of Mrs. Eddy, after the doctor had said she had only days at the most to live. So I was reared in a Christian Science home, and I have had many healings through the years, some of them being healings of quinsy, a nervous breakdown, the effects of accidents, and dislocated and broken bones.

But I should like to tell of the healing of gallstones. The condition was very painful, and the action of the kidneys had nearly stopped. A practitioner was called. She reminded me that "a spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever isoffensive" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 463). She also asked me to study Psalm 121, which contains the assurance (verse 7), "The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil."

In two days' time, stones passed from me; after that, the action was natural and normal. I have never again been bothered with that trouble.
