College Organizations

Fruitage reports received by the College Organization Division indicate the consecrated, prayerful work being done by members of Christian Science organizations at colleges and universities formed in accordance with Article XXIII, Section 8, of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy.

From Florida: "Our organization activities of the year tell of the growth we have enjoyed through deep prayerful work. An inspiring lecture was given, plans were started to form an alumni group, we participated in Religious Emphasis Week, and we were the largest campus denominational group present at the reception held at the beginning of this special week. Three of our members were invited to participate in a meeting sponsored by a local branch church to acquaint Christian Scientists in the area with organization activities, a spring orientation meeting was held on campus for newcomers, and regular weekly testimony meetings were held during the academic year."

From Michigan: "It seems in the university atmosphere that religion gets pushed into the background. In order to handle such apathy, we must awaken our own understanding. Only then may we go ahead with footsteps such as showing the various movies made available to us by The Mother Church, sponsoring Christian Science lectures, introducing The Christian Science Monitor, distributing literature, advertising on campus the organization's activities by poster and in the university newspaper."
