Because of a constantly growing...

Because of a constantly growing appreciation of Christian Science, I can no longer put off this expression of gratitude. The healings I have experienced, witnessed, or learned of would fill volumes, providing me with evergrowing evidence of the healing power of God. Indeed, no human situation is beyond His healing touch.

The birth of our fourth child was quick and harmonious. It occurred on a Thursday night shortly after midnight in our home. When the baby was a few hours old, he suddenly ceased breathing; but he was quickly revived through the prayers of a practitioner.

The following day, Saturday, was the annual meeting of our association. My husband was planning to attend, and all that Friday I felt that it would be right that I go too. I expressed to the practitioner the thought that I should go because of the good I could get out of the meeting; but he reminded me that we should never approach any experience from the point of view of what it can do for us but, rather, what we can take to it—our presence, humility, gratitude, and so on.
