When I came to know Christian Science, I was in a critical situation. In fact, as a result of circumstances too complicated to enumerate here, I had a serious financial problem, one of long standing. Despite all my efforts to do so, I found myself unable to solve this problem; and seeing no way out of this bondage, I was overcome with cares and fears. A fatal end seemed to me inevitable.

Then it was that I first encountered Christian Science. Coming back home after having attended my first service in a Church of Christ, Scientist, I seemed to have wings. I quickly found hope again; my life has been transformed by Science.

I diligently undertook its study, finding especially helpful the numerous articles in the periodicals which spoke about resources. This study brought me many blessings and showed me that our real resources are our spiritual qualities. I understood better where my efforts ought to be directed.
