The written word is often inadequate...
The written word is often inadequate to express one's true feelings. This is particularly true of my deep gratitude for all the blessings which have come to me and my family through the application of the truths taught in Christian Science.
Having the privilege of growing up in a family where Science was and still is loved and lived made it extremely important to me that our own children experience the peace, joy, and happiness found in an atmosphere where God is acknowledged as the head of the household.
At a time when our first son was in much discomfort from a skin trouble, we turned to God for help. The child was about three years old and had manifested a great deal of willfulness. However, in our work with the practitioner whom we had asked to give him treatment, we were reminded that the difficulty must be met mainly in our own thought. We began to realize that we had accepted a belief of willfulness about the child and had actually been indulging in the belief ourselves.
