The Joy of Friendliness
"Trust, joy, sincerity, cordiality, expansiveness,
predominate in the friendly heart "
Blessed is the one who has the ability to be friendly. Rightly understood, real friendliness is spiritual and divinely natural. It is a precious jewel that glows through reflected light, penetrating into the dark places of loneliness and drab neglect. It brings with it a glimpse of the truth of Mrs. Eddy's words in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 100), "Pure humanity, friendship, home, the interchange of love, bring to earth a foretaste of heaven."
