When Christian Science was...
When Christian Science was presented to me, many years ago, I realized my great need of a better understanding of God. I made a daily study of the Bible Lessons, circulated to us in the Quarterly, and many physical healings followed, including those of broken bones, aching feet, chilblains, chronic colds, stomach trouble, and severe headaches.
The privilege of becoming a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church, the joy of class instruction, and the opportunity of teaching in the Sunday School followed. To be able to turn to our heavenly Father Mother God at all times for help and comfort and feel His nearness, dearness, and power makes life a beautiful thing.
Recently I had to have my driver's license renewed and failed the eye test. I engaged the services of a Christian Science practitioner, who began to give me treatment. She mailed me the pamphlet "A Wider Vision," published by The Christian Science Publishing Society. The articles therein were very helpful.
