[The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly designated to be read in Christian Science churches on July 7, 1963.]
My deliverer (II Sam. 22:2)
At this point the Hebrew reads literally, "My deliverer, mine," the repetition evidently implying emphasis in accord with a familiar Hebrew idiom. One might almost translate it, "My very own deliverer." The American Standard Version suggests, "My deliverer, even mine."
As for God, his way is perfect. ... He maketh my way perfect (II Sam. 22:31, 33)
