Christian Science has meant...
Christian Science has meant so much to me through the years that I am glad to add my voice to the song of praise and gratitude to God for this wonderful truth, which came to me at a time of great need.
As a child I learned to love the Bible and became a member of an orthodox church at an early age, but I could not entirely accept our pastor's explanation of why our family had been afflicted with so much suffering.
My father, three brothers, and three sisters had passed on with tuberculosis, so I felt I had little hope of recovery when I found myself suffering from that disease.
