Christian Science has so filled...
Christian Science has so filled my experience with good that I must speak out in gratitude for it.
When our second boy was very young, he injured the roof of his mouth with his tin horn. The blood gushed forth; but the instant I spoke to a practitioner on the telephone the bleeding ceased as if a faucet had been turned off. We had no medical help. There was no infection; the roof of his mouth grew back into shape, and in about a week the healing was complete.
One February morning when this boy was five, he took his sister, aged one and a half, out for a walk. They stood on a dock and threw stones into the lagoon, which was seven feet deep. She threw herself in together with a stone. Her brother did not jump in to help her because, as he later said, he knew he would be punished if he got his feet wet. He waited for her to be washed close enough for him to grab her bobbing hat and pull her partly out of the water. Then he came and got me.
