NEW LOOK

Mildred S. Ainsworth

Today I close my door
as though I had never closed
a door before
to fretting and all anguish
of mind and heart and soul—
because I must renewedly be whole.

Today I do this!
In the now, the when of Christ. Truth, risen,
I am conscious of the how and where,
the ever-here of heaven—
the harmony that God reveals to me
when I look out from Life on immortality.
