Our Responsibility
"To the extent that we ... see the true image and
likeness ... we are helping to nullify evil"
For over nineteen hundred years the Christian churches have taught the omnipotence and omnipresence of God, but they have then tried to reconcile this teaching with a doctrine that includes belief in the reality of evil, or a personal devil, that is, in a power opposed to God. Through her God-given revelation as set forth in Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy provides, with divine logic, the answer to the problem. In this textbook she writes (p. 473): "The God-principle is omnipresent and omnipotent. God is everywhere, and nothing apart from Him is present or has power."
