I am a living proof that Christian Science...
I am a living proof that Christian Science heals. About thirty-seven years ago the doctors told me that I had pulmonary tuberculosis. A few days later I was sent to a sanatorium and given all kinds of tests. I was there for one whole year, during which time I was kept in bed, flat on my back.
I weighed 175 pounds when I entered the sanatorium, but I gradually wasted away, and my weight went down to 97 pounds. The doctors then decided to call in some specialists. A few days later they arranged a consultation of nine doctors, three of whom were called in from New York and were the finest men in the state in their field. After the consultation my wife was told that I could not possibly live for more than two or three weeks. The doctors advised my wife to take me home and let me pass on there.
My wife, however, had been a student of Christian Science for many years. She assured the doctors that I not going to pass on and that she would not be taking me home until I was better.
