It has been my privilege to study and apply the truths of Christian Science for many years. I am particularly grateful for the help of our consecrated practitioners and for the daily opportunities I have had to prove God's ever-presence and love.

Several years ago my daughter became quite ill one morning, suffering from the grippe. She was very weak, and it was necessary for her to stay home from work. Together we prayed to know the truth of God and man, His perfect reflection. A practitioner was asked to give her treatment, and on the first day my daughter was able to get up and go out for a short walk. The next day she was able to take the car into town to do some necessary shopping. Within a few days the condition was completely healed, and she resumed her normal activity.

Recently while washing some clothes, I caught my hand in the wringer and damaged one finger severely. A practitioner was called. The healing was not a quick one; there were lessons to learn in patience and in the overcoming of resentment. No stitches were taken in the finger; it knitted together perfectly, and I have the complete use of it. Mrs. Eddy's article entitled "Taking Offense" (Miscellaneous Writings, pp. 223, 224) was very helpful, and Hymn No. 154 from the Christian Science Hymnal was a source of constant inspiration and support during the experience. The first two lines of the hymn read,
