About three years ago I was suffering from a pain in my head over my left ear and could not hear with that ear. I asked a Christian Science practitioner for help, and in a short time, as the result of his prayers, the ear began to drain. Although the draining slowly continued for some weeks, I had no more pain, and I was able to carry on my duties as a Christian Science nurse. I received a complete healing with a return of hearing.

A short time ago, while on my way to take part in a Christian Science service at a women's prison, I turned an ankle. Although I was able to continue and take my place as First Reader, the foot became very painful after the service. Again I asked a practitioner for help, and when doing so I expressed the fear that I might not be able to make my calls as a nurse the next day. The practitioner replied, "Tomorrow isn't here yet," and promised to give me treatment. The next day I was able to serve and was entirely free from any trouble with the foot.

I am very grateful that my son had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School until he reached the age of twenty. He had many healings. He was healed of chicken pox, which was diagnosed as such by a doctor, who was called because the disease was reportable, and he had a very quick healing of scarlet fever. I asked a practitioner for treatment for him in the latter instance, and in the afternoon when the doctor arrived, called for the same reason as before, he said, "I can't understand it because the child has every symptom of the disease and not an atom of fever." Although I did not encourage his return, and the child received no medication, the doctor returned twice after this. By way of explanation he said: "I just want to watch this case. It mystifies me."
