"Crumbs of comfort from Christ's table"
"Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him" (I Cor. 2:9).
To one librarian, this is a message of hope and promise to all who visit a Christian Science Reading Room for study and research. The beginner, perhaps timid or doubtful, finds hope and release from his false fears; the faithful worker finds unfoldment and confirmation through demonstration. The presence and warmth of love await and welcome each and every one who enters.
"As our visitors leave the Reading Room," writes the librarian, "they frequently express gratitude in general terms; but there are times when a guest stops to express his joy for the unfoldment of a new idea which has thrown light on a familiar passage."
