My heart goes out in deep gratitude to God for the good that Christian Science has brought to me. Since my introduction to Science through a friend of mine, I have experienced many healings with the help of practitioners.

Recently, while working on a particularly busy evening as a cook in a large hotel, I spilled some boiling fat over my left hand. My thoughts immediately turned to God and the truths I had learned of man's relationship to Him. The account of the three Hebrews who emerged from the fiery furnace unharmed came to my thought (see Dan. 3). When I arrived home, I read from the textbook, Science and Health by our Leader. In less than half an hour all pain was gone. Within two weeks the skin had been renewed and was completely healed, leaving no scar.

Attacks of malaria, which I contracted in 1925, kept recurring until in 1954, through Christian Science treatment, I was completely healed. I was also healed of the drinking habit, and the smoking habit left me very easily. Eyeglasses that I had been using for seven years were no longer needed after I studied the articles in a pamphlet entitled "A Wider Vision" published by The Christian Science Publishing Society.
