Of the many healings and blessings I have had through the study and application of Christian Science, there is one experience which stands out like a beacon. No doubt this is due to the fact that it was such a grand lesson on the value of obedience.

It happened several years ago when I had a full day of spring housecleaning planned. My habit is to study the Lesson-Sermon from the Quarterly each morning. This particular morning I decided that since I had so much work to do, I would skip the lesson. But the thought came to me, "Put God first." Soon I became so absorbed in studying that I lost all sense of time and gave the lesson deeper thought than usual.
