I shall always remember with...
I shall always remember with enormous joy and gratitude my first experience in Christian Science. After studying it for only six months, I experienced a convincing proof of the healing power of this Science when it is correctly applied.
Having fallen on my arm, I felt a severe pain. The arm was swollen, and I could not move it. I sent a telegram asking for the help of a practitioner, who lived in a town some distance away. However, my parents were not Christian Scientists, and I was obliged to go and see a doctor because of their fear. The X-ray pictures showed that a bone in my arm was broken in a zigzag fashion.
In spite of this, I was not at all afraid and decided firmly to rely on Christian Science only. After twenty-eight days I was completely healed without having had any medical treatment. This passage in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy helped me very much (p. 283): "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action."
